When you bought an incandescent bulb you knew that a higher wattage meant a brighter light. However, wattage really measures power consumption, not brightness. Lumens measure brightness. You can use the chart below to match the wattage of an incandescent to its LED counterpart. LEDs use less power and save money.
Warm lighting is similar to conventional lighting and has a softer feel. This lighting is perfect for living rooms and bedrooms.
Daylight - The colour of the lighting is used to represent ‘daylight colour’ indoors. It has neither the softness of warm white or the starkness of cool white.
Cool white - Is a brighter whiter light and is more suited for the bathroom or kitchen.
4 Channel DALI-2 Dimming
This LED driver is powered by DALI, a 2-way communication protocol used to manage and communicate with the elements in a lighting system. It is compatible with DALI and DALI 2 dimming systems and provides DALI dimming functions from 0% to 100%!
Keep in mind that this LED driver requires other DALI-powered devices. Its dimming feature is only functional with other DALI solutions. If you have a DALI system or plan to use one, this LED driver will greatly help your setup! With it, you can dim/brighten, change between colours, establish scenes, and more. This LED driver is compatible with the original DALI and the recently enhanced DALI 2 technology, presenting you with a wider range of connectivity.
Compatible with Smart LED Lights (needs a DALI controller)
You can use this LED driver in your smart system if you have a DALI controller. Why opt for a smart lighting system? Because it can make the setup more cost-effective and efficient!
Suppose you were late and forgot to switch off your lights as you left your home. With an intelligent lighting system, you can operate your fixtures remotely on your mobile phone! You don't need to physically be there to or near the vicinity just to switch off your lights. Furthermore, the automation provided by smart lights can strengthen your property's security. You can specify wake-up and sleep hours so your lights will activate at distinct periods, creating the notion that someone is home!
100w LED Driver, 12v DC or 24v DC
While many LED lights are mains-powered, meaning you can connect them straight to the mains circuit, there's also a significant number of low-voltage LEDs that require an LED driver. This LED driver is available in 12v DC or 24v DC. When purchasing, ensure that the input voltage of the LED fixture is the same as the output voltage of the driver. So, if your low-voltage LED is 12v DC, purchase a 12v DC LED driver. On the other hand, if it's 24v DC, then choose a 24v DC driver.
Also, this LED driver has a maximum load of 100w. If you're preparing to connect multiple lights, ensure their total wattage is not over 100w. If you're not cautious, the fixture and the driver may get damaged!
IP20 Rated - Suitable for Indoor Use Only
Since this LED driver has an IP20 rating, it's only suitable indoors! You have to be careful of its placement because if jets and splashes of water come into contact with these lights, they may malfunction or short-circuit! Nevertheless, you can illuminate your kitchen, bedroom, hallway, storage room, dining room, living room, pantry, home office, game room, and wardrobe with gorgeous low-voltage LED strip lights and LED cabinet lights that are powered by this LED driver.
What kind of LED driver can be submerged underwater? To accommodate that type of installation, the driver needs to have an incredibly high IP rating. It should be more than an IP65 rating to ensure it's waterproof!
Mains Wireable - Connect Directly to the Mains Circuit
Because this is a mains wirable LED driver, you can link it directly to the mains circuit. You can hardwire it to the main power supply to control your fixtures with a standard light switch or dimmer on the wall, or if you prefer another method, you can add a plug at the end of the driver so that you can plug your fittings into an empty socket to operate them. The first option will give you a cleaner, more elegant and built-in layout. However, it needs more knowledge and skills. On the flip side, the second option is more DIY-friendly, but you have to deal with exposed wires, and there should be an empty socket nearby.
If you’re uncertain about your DIY ability, it’s best to contact an electrician to secure your home and yourself!
