When you bought an incandescent bulb you knew that a higher wattage meant a brighter light. However, wattage really measures power consumption, not brightness. Lumens measure brightness. You can use the chart below to match the wattage of an incandescent to its LED counterpart. LEDs use less power and save money.
Warm lighting is similar to conventional lighting and has a softer feel. This lighting is perfect for living rooms and bedrooms.
Daylight - The colour of the lighting is used to represent ‘daylight colour’ indoors. It has neither the softness of warm white or the starkness of cool white.
Cool white - Is a brighter whiter light and is more suited for the bathroom or kitchen.
DALI dimming function (0-100%)
This LED driver is powered by DALI, a 2-way communication protocol that manages and communicates with the segments in a lighting system. It is compatible with DALI and DALI 2 dimming systems and provides DALI dimming functions from 0% to 100%!
Kindly note that this LED driver needs other DALI-powered devices. Its dimming feature is only accessible with other DALI devices. If you have an existing DALI system or plan to switch to one, this LED driver will immensely benefit your setup! It will let you dim/brighten, switch between colours, set scenes, and more. This LED driver is compatible with the original DALI and the newly improved DALI 2 technology, offering you a more comprehensive range of connectivity.
Compatible with Smart LED Lights (DALI controller required)
If you have a DALI controller, you can incorporate this LED driver into your smart system. With smart lights, you will experience a more efficient and cost-effective lighting system!
Suppose you were in a rush and forgot to switch off your lights before leaving. With an intelligent lighting system, you can access your light fixtures on your mobile phone! You don't need to wait hours until you get home before turning off the forgotten lights. In addition, the automation provided by smart lights can fortify your property's security. You can set up wake-up and sleep hours so your lights will trigger at specific times, creating the illusion that someone is home!
50w 12v DC or 24v DC LED Driver
Although several LED fixtures are mains-powered, there are some that are low-voltage and require an LED driver to control the power supply. This LED driver comes in 12v DC or 24v DC. When buying, guarantee that the input voltage of the LED light is the same as the output voltage of the driver. So, if your LED strip light is 12v DC, purchase a 12v DC LED driver. On the other hand, if it's 24v DC, then select a 24v DC driver.
Furthermore, this LED driver has a maximum capacity of 50w. If you're planning to link multiple fittings, ensure that their total wattage does not go beyond 60w. If you're not careful about this, both the lights and the driver may end up getting damaged!
Suitable to Use with Low-Voltage Under Cabinet Lights and Strip Lights
This LED driver is perfect for our comprehensive selection of low-voltage LED strip lights and LED under-cabinet lights. If you are uncertain if the fixture you are thinking of buying is suitable for this LED driver, you may call or email us so we can help you!
In addition, this LED driver is designed with various safety features, including short circuits, overload and over-temperature protection. It also features a built-in active PFC function. With these safety elements, you can rest easy knowing your lighting system is safe to use! It will operate the way you intended it to without giving you any doubts about the overall protection of your entire house!
Mains Wirable - Link Directly to the Mains Circuit
Since this LED driver is mains wirable, you can connect it straight to the mains circuit. You can hardwire it to the primary power supply to manage your lights with a regular light switch or dimmer on the wall, or if you desire another approach, you can add a plug at the end of the driver so that you can plug your lights into an empty socket to switch them on/off. The first choice will give you a more refined and built-in setup. However, it requires more mastery. Alternatively, the second option is more DIY-friendly, but you must hide the wires with decor strategically and have a socket nearby.
If you’re unsure about the installation in general, it’s best to contact an electrician to ensure your home’s and your own security!
IP20 Rated - Perfect for Indoor Applications
This LED driver is IP20-rated; therefore, it's suitable for indoor use. The driver does not possess sufficient protection against liquids, so we strongly suggest keeping it away from spaces where water is a constant companion, like the bathroom. Nonetheless, this characteristic should not be a worry since it will not restrict the areas where you can mount. You can still use this LED driver to power the low-voltage cabinet lights or strip lights in your kitchen (far from splash zones), bedroom, hallway, storage room, dining room, living room, pantry, home office, game room, wardrobe, etc.
For bathrooms and outdoor locations, you need to find an LED driver with a much higher IP rating.
