In addition, it’s suitable for all joist types, including I-joist and web-joist, which not many downlights are compatible with! With this, the holes you cut to mount your lights are resealed, and your ceiling is reinforced to extend the time when the fire will spread.
It’s advisable to get fire-rated lights throughout your home, particularly if you have multiple levels with downlights.
Easy to Install
One of the many reasons this LED downlight is a must for your space is its ease of installation. It’s designed with a push-fit terminal for easy loop in/out, twist and lock bezel, and insulation coverable clip and fit drivers. Plus, it's mains powered, so you don’t need a driver or transformer to make it work! Wire it directly to the mains circuit, connect it to a compatible dimmer switch, and you’re done!
Just note that this LED downlight measures 70mm tall with an 88mm diameter that requires a 68mm cut-out. Make sure that you’re precise with these dimensions when trimming because otherwise, your downlight may fall off the ceiling or not fit at all!
