When you bought an incandescent bulb you knew that a higher wattage meant a brighter light. However, wattage really measures power consumption, not brightness. Lumens measure brightness. You can use the chart below to match the wattage of an incandescent to its LED counterpart. LEDs use less power and save money.
Warm lighting is similar to conventional lighting and has a softer feel. This lighting is perfect for living rooms and bedrooms.
Daylight - The colour of the lighting is used to represent ‘daylight colour’ indoors. It has neither the softness of warm white or the starkness of cool white.
Cool white - Is a brighter whiter light and is more suited for the bathroom or kitchen.
Dotless LED Tape Light
Some people dislike the spotted appearance of many LED tapes. Because of this, they either opt for an alternative or use an LED profile to hide the individual LED chips. While those are excellent options, another solution that you can check out is this LED tape light!
It's made with cutting-edge Chip-on-Board technology, so there are no visible single LED chips spaced evenly along the ribbon-like circuit board. Instead, you can enjoy a seamless and uniform glow without a dotted effect! Besides that, this LED tape is CRI >90, allowing it to project colours more vibrantly. It's perfect for window displays or drawing attention to limited, in-season, or best-selling products!
IP20 Rated - Perfect for Indoor Applications
Since this LED tape light is IP20-rated, it can only be used for indoor applications. Why? While you can mount it in your bedroom, living room, dining room, hallways, storage room, etc., it’s not suitable for water zones. This tape light doesn’t have adequate protection against water and liquids, so there’s a high chance that it may malfunction or short circuit when exposed to those elements.
If you’re thinking of adding tape lights in the bathroom, look for one with a higher IP rating - like IP44 for the bathroom’s zone 2 or IP65 for the bathroom’s zone 1). Be careful where you install your fixtures because water and electricity do not mix well!
RGB+CCT Colour-Changing
With the extensive colour selection of LED tape lights, choosing a single colour can be a waste, especially if you like synching the room's vibe with the party theme! Yes, you can buy multiple single-coloured strip lights and swap them out whenever you change the look of the space. However, won't it be such a waste if you're doing it often?
Here's the answer: this RGB+CCT colour-changing LED tape! In a single strip, you'll have access to the entire colour wheel and all the colours in between including the most popular whites, all the way from warm white at 2700K to 6500K cool white. Aside from that, this LED tape is dimmable, so you can further diversify the hues to get the exact colour that you want!
24v DC - LED Driver Required
This LED tape light has a 24v DC output voltage, so you’ll need an LED driver to make it work. Can you use the LED driver that you already have? Is there a specific type that you need to find?
When finding the LED driver to pair with your LED tape light, you need to do some computation. Add the total wattage of the length you’re using (in this case, it’s 18w per metre), then look for the nearest available LED driver. Always round up because if the maximum load of the driver is lower than the total wattage of the tape light you’re connecting, it may ruin both the tape light and the driver!
Suitable to Use with our LED Profiles and Controllers
We recommend coupling this LED tape light with our vast collection of LED profiles and controllers to boost your lighting experience! An LED profile acts as a heatsink, so your tape lights will not overheat. It’s necessary because diffusing heat will ensure your tape lights can live through their lengthy lifespan. On top of that, it makes the whole installation look more clean and elegant!
Since this tape light is compatible with several LED controllers, you have different options in terms of light operation. You can use a standard but modern wall controller, a handy CCT + RGB remote control, or an ingenious smart home controller that lets you link the tape lights with smart speakers like Alexa or Google Home!
