LED Signage
If you’re a business owner, you know how competitive the market can get nowadays. LED signage offers businesses and commercial spaces an impactful way to attract customers and get them browsing in your store rather than your competitors.
LED signage helps capture your target audience’s attention and display important information or announcements. And depending on the application, you can place LED signage outdoors or indoors.
Because of their high visibility and customisability, they’re a popular, cost-effective choice for business advertising and branding.

What is an LED Signage?
Any indoor or outdoor signage that uses light-emitting diodes (LEDs) is considered an LED signage. LEDs are used in various applications, such as information displays, advertising, storefront decorations and signages. They are commonly used in settings like storefront business, transportation, educational institutions, outdoor environments, and more.
The most basic type of LED signage uses either an LED neon light or an LED strip light to illuminate it.
LED Neon Signage
Rather than using traditional materials for neon signs (soft lead glass, iron electrodes, and various gases for colours), LED neon signs or faux neon signs use LEDs to achieve the same lighting and design effect as neon gas glowing inside a glass tube.
Another notable difference from traditional neon signs is that an LED version can change colours. They’re also lightweight, shatter-resistant, and generally safer than the conventional choice. And since they use LED technology, these neon signs are significantly less expensive to run and maintain.
Simple Lighting offers a diverse selection of easy-to-install LED lights. They mimic traditional neon lights but are built to be more versatile, durable, and energy efficient.
LED Strip Light Signage
Another way to enhance the atmosphere of a commercial or business space is to brighten up signage and displays with LED strip lights. This eliminates the high cost of replacing burnt-out bulbs and tubes used in traditional signage. Simple Lighting LED strip lights can be easily customised and are cut-to-measure for your business.
LED strip lights are commonly used in channel lettering applications, where LED lights are formed into the shape of the letters to be displayed at the front of the store, typically to attract customers’ attention.
Another way is to use the strip lights as an accent or backlighting for the letters attached to a wall. This creates a soft glow that forms a sharp contrast with the edges of the signage, making it stand out.
The Benefits of LED Signage
High Visibility
Compared to traditional signage, LED signage lights are significantly brighter, making them ideal for drawing customers, especially in congested areas like city streets where other businesses are competing for attention.
Cost-effective
LED lights last between 25,000 and 50,000 hours. They consume remarkably less energy than traditional bulbs and tube lights, which means lower operational, replacement, and maintenance costs. Simple Lighting offers up to a 5-year warranty for both its LED neon and LED strip lights (depending on the model).
Versatility
LED strips can be cut, twisted, and folded to a certain degree to fit the shape, size, and design you need. This allows you to create unique and memorable designs that best reflect your business and brand’s personality.
Easy Installation
Both our LED strip light and LED neon light at Simple Lighting are easy to install. Depending on your needs, there are options for 1 to 10 meters in a single continuous length, and they can be easily connected to up to 20 meters.
How to use neon or LED strip lights for LED Signages
Installing LED neon lights and LED strip lights is relatively easy. You can do it yourself, but if you’re not confident, always enlist the help of a professional.
To use LED lights, first, measure the amount you’ll need. Plan how you will position the strip or neon flex to achieve the best outcome for your signage. You can sketch it on a piece of paper to get a better visual.
Once you have the correct measurement, cut the light to the desired length. Both the LED strip and LED neon lights are cuttable. However, always ensure that you’re only cutting along the cutting marks, or you might accidentally damage the circuit.
Finally, simply peel off the double-sided adhesive on the strips and secure them to the surface you’ve outlined. If you have LED profiles installed, you can slide them in, and you’re done.
