When you bought an incandescent bulb you knew that a higher wattage meant a brighter light. However, wattage really measures power consumption, not brightness. Lumens measure brightness. You can use the chart below to match the wattage of an incandescent to its LED counterpart. LEDs use less power and save money.
Warm lighting is similar to conventional lighting and has a softer feel. This lighting is perfect for living rooms and bedrooms.
Daylight - The colour of the lighting is used to represent ‘daylight colour’ indoors. It has neither the softness of warm white or the starkness of cool white.
Cool white - Is a brighter whiter light and is more suited for the bathroom or kitchen.
Slimline Brushed Chrome / Satin Nickel Bezel
Sometimes, it's challenging to restyle your interior if your ceiling lights are too unique and only go well with specific aesthetics. What if you're the type of homeowner that likes to change your interior every now and then? Does that mean that your ceiling lights will have to change every time? Fortunately, with this LED downlight, you won't have this problem!
It has a slimline brushed chrome bezel which is simple enough to go with any design scheme but elegant enough to stand on its own and elevate the visuals of your space. Since brushed chrome is relatively neutral, you'll have more freedom to mix and match because it will blend well and complement your existing and new decor and furniture pieces!
Insulation Coverable When Used With a LED Lamp (Max 7w Power)
Not all lighting can be covered with insulation. You need to be very cautious with this because what you think may help prevent accidents may end up being the source of it! If you want to cover your lights with insulation, it needs to be specified in the product description that the fitting is insulation coverable - like this LED fire-rated downlight!
With this, you can safely lay insulation over the fixture as long as you’re using LED lamps with a maximum of 7w power. If the bulb which you choose to use is higher than 7w, you can use them with this downlight but please do not cover them with insulation.
Loop In and Out Quick Connectors
Electricians love our downlights. Why? It’s because of the less time they spend on installation!
If you are looking for a downlight that is quick and easy to connect, this is the downlight for you.
Thanks to its features designed to speed up the mounting process, this fixture will help you save time and money.
In addition, since it’s made with screwless terminals and connectors that are large enough for a loop-in and out installation, you’ll be able to move on to the next phase of your projects quicker! Also, it’s mains powered, so you don’t need a transformer to make it work! Just wire it directly to the mains circuit, add a bulb, and you’re done!
Suitable for Solid Joist and I-Joist Ceilings, Fire-Rated
Being prepared is always better than panicking in a moment of calamity. Therefore, you need to ensure that your home's safety features are in place right at the beginning of the planning process. So, get our Fire-Rated GU10 Downlight instead of regular lighting fixtures!
It's fire-rated to 90 minutes of protection, meaning the holes that you cut to install your lights are resealed, and your ceiling is reinforced to prolong the time for the fire to spread. In addition, it's suitable for solid joists and I-joist ceilings, guaranteeing a complete fire defence! With this, you and your family will have more time to escape, and the structural damage to your home will be minimised.
Used with a GU10 Bulb
This LED downlight is designed with a GU10 holder, so you can pair it with any GU10 bulb. However, since it's a dimmable fixture, it's better to use a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch to utilise this dimming function.
As for the GU10 bulbs, you can get them in three colour temperatures: cool, natural and warm white light. How do they differ? Cool and natural white light are both used for task lighting. The only thing that sets them apart is that cool white has a crisp bluish tint, whereas natural white resembles a cloudless sunny day without any hints of blue or yellow. Alternatively, warm white is ideal for ambient lighting because its yellowish shade can help create a relaxing atmosphere!
Dimensions
The measurement of the fixture is crucial for installation, especially for mounting recessed lighting. If you just wing it, there’s a chance that the fitting will not fit, or it may fall off your ceiling! So, take note that this fire-rated LED downlight is 112mm tall, 85mm in diameter, and requires a 65 - 70mm cut-out hole.
If you’re DIY-ing the installation, confirm that you measure accurately and plot the position of your lights before trimming anything. It’s easier to erase the markings than patch a hole in your ceiling. On the other hand, if you’re hiring an electrician to do the mounting, still inform them even if the measurements are written in the packaging just to be sure.
