When you bought an incandescent bulb you knew that a higher wattage meant a brighter light. However, wattage really measures power consumption, not brightness. Lumens measure brightness. You can use the chart below to match the wattage of an incandescent to its LED counterpart. LEDs use less power and save money.
Warm lighting is similar to conventional lighting and has a softer feel. This lighting is perfect for living rooms and bedrooms.
Daylight - The colour of the lighting is used to represent ‘daylight colour’ indoors. It has neither the softness of warm white or the starkness of cool white.
Cool white - Is a brighter whiter light and is more suited for the bathroom or kitchen.
Beautiful Slimline Bezel with an Exquisite White Finish
This LED downlight is constructed with a sleek, slimline bezel that has a pristine white finish. It’s ideal for any interior design, whether contemporary, mid-century modern, traditional, classic, retro, minimalist, rustic, etc. If you have this LED downlight in your space, you won’t have any issues incorporating it with your existing furniture pieces and decors!
If you have a neutral and effortlessly versatile ceiling light, it’ll give you more liberty to try different. Changing will take too much time, effort and money if you customise everything to suit a specific style. What if you change your mind? What if you suddenly want to try a different aesthetic? Neutral, minimalist ceiling fixtures like this LED downlight will be more cost-effective and less time-consuming!
Insulation Coverable But Requires a GU10 LED Bulb
This LED downlight does not come with a GU10 LED lamp. When you choose this option, you’ll only get the LED downlight fixture without any bulbs. So, if you want to guarantee that your LED downlights are insulation coverable, ensure that you pair them with a compatible GU10 LED bulb.
Aside from requiring an LED GU10 bulb, there’s another condition that you need to follow if you wish to put insulation over your downlights. The LED lamp must not exceed a maximum of 7w of power. If you happen to use an LED bulb with a higher wattage count, even if it’s still within the maximum load of the downlight, you won’t be able to cover your downlights with insulation.
Suitable for I-joists and Solid Joists; Fire-Rated to 90 Minutes
This LED downlight is fire-rated to 90 minutes of protection, which means the hole you trim to mount this light is completely resealed, reinforcing the ceiling’s fire integrity and delaying the time when the fire will spread (in this case, by 90 minutes). Fire-rated downlights, like this one, are able to do so because they have a built-in intumescent pad that activates when exposed to a particular temperature. This pad, when activated, blocks any gaps where the fire might go through.
In addition to that, this LED downlight is compatible with I-joists and solid joists, which not many LED downlights can offer! So, get this LED downlight to ensure your home is fully fire-protected!
Hassle-Free to Mount - Mains Powered and Has Loop-In/Out Connectors
Installing this LED downlight is hassle and stress-free since it’s constructed with features that streamline the mounting procedure. So, if you prepare all the necessary tools and equipment and read the mounting guidelines beforehand, everything will go smoothly!
This LED downlight has a large screwless terminal block and quick connectors, allowing you to execute an easy loop-in/out connection. Also, it’s mains powered, so you don’t need to buy a separate LED driver or transformer to make it run. When you’re done cutting the required 65mm - 75mm cut-out hole, wire the downlight directly to the mains circuit, add a bulb of your choice (preferably the one recommended earlier), and you’re ready to relish your well-lit room!
The Dimensions
Why do you need to learn the dimensions of your lighting fixtures? It's necessary because it gives you an idea of the quantity you must buy and all the critical details for the installation. Knowing the measurement of your lights is especially vital for recessed fixtures since they require a cut-out hole. It’s not something you can guess since it requires precision. If the trim is too small, the downlight will not go in, and the fitting will fall off the fitting will fall off if it’s too large.
So, take note that this LED downlight is 112mm tall with an 85mm diameter and requires a 65mm to 75mm cut-out hole. Follow these dimensions accurately, and you can anticipate a perfect outcome!
