While there’s no issue with buying spools of strip lights for broad-scale projects, it can be inconvenient for smaller-scale DIYs. Let us know the size of strip lights you require, and we’ll cut them accordingly. On top of that, we’ll solder cables at the ends of your strip, so when it arrives, you can skip the tedious measuring, cutting and soldering and jump to the installation!

This LED strip is cuttable every 50mm. Therefore, when you inform us of the length you need, make sure it’s rounded off to the nearest 50mm.

There are various ways to control this LED strip - through a standard wall dimmer, remote control, touch glass wall plates, and smart devices. You just need to pair it with the correct drivers to guarantee that your lights will work properly.

You'll need a dimmable LED driver to manage your strips using an LED-compatible wall dimmer (ordinary twist knob). However, if you prefer to use a remote control or a touch glass wall plate, or you don't need your strip lights to dim, then a non-dimmable LED driver will suffice. If you plan to integrate your strip lights into your smart home system or just want to manage your strip light using voice command, pair your LED strips with a smart LED strip controller!

This LED strip light requires a 12v DC LED driver to work. It’s not like those mains-powered fixtures that you can wire directly to the mains circuit. You can link several strip lights in one driver as long as you don’t overload the driver.

Say you already determined the length of strip light you’ll be using. To identify the appropriate LED driver to power your light, just multiply the watts per metre of the strip (5w per metre for this) by the length you’ll use. Then, you’ll round off to the nearest available driver. Ensure that you round up, not down, because it’s better to have a higher driver capacity than a lower one.

If you want the best-looking strip lights that elevate the visuals of your space, don’t leave it as it is, especially if it’s in visible areas. Enclose it in an LED profile to make the strips look polished and more finished. In addition, having LED profiles also reinforces the protection of your strip lights against curious fingers and dust. Although, if you plan to put your lights outdoors, ensure that your strip lights are IP65 and above. The profile may not have enough waterproofing capacities.

Note that this strip light is 2mm deep, so check if the LED profile can accommodate that measurement. If you don’t double-check, you may end up with one that cannot fit your strip!
