Make sure that the person mounting your lights know these measurements, especially the cut-out hole and height, since if the cut-out-hole is too big, your downlight will fall out, and if it’s too small, it won’t fit. Also, if you happen to have any obstruction above your ceiling and the height of the fixture is too long, then your downlights will not be recessed but protrude!
