When you bought an incandescent bulb you knew that a higher wattage meant a brighter light. However, wattage really measures power consumption, not brightness. Lumens measure brightness. You can use the chart below to match the wattage of an incandescent to its LED counterpart. LEDs use less power and save money.
Warm lighting is similar to conventional lighting and has a softer feel. This lighting is perfect for living rooms and bedrooms.
Daylight - The colour of the lighting is used to represent ‘daylight colour’ indoors. It has neither the softness of warm white or the starkness of cool white.
Cool white - Is a brighter whiter light and is more suited for the bathroom or kitchen.
Adjustable Downlight & IP20 Rated
In multi-function rooms like the dining room, kitchen, and bedroom (which also double as workspaces), you need a lighting solution that easily adapts to the space's requirements. This LED downlight is one lighting fixture that can allow you to do so!
It's IP20-rated and has an adjustable gimbal that enables it to tilt up and down to a specific range, allowing you to alter the light beam's direction wherever you prefer. Unlike fixed downlights, an adjustable one lessens the challenge of getting it right immediately, as you can still make adjustments even if the fixture is already mounted. So, if you want a customisable lighting solution to accommodate your lighting requirements, choose this LED downlight!
Insulation Coverable
Because this LED downlight is insulation-coverable, you can place loft insulation loosely over its rear. However, this is only allowed if you pair it with a GU10 LED lamp with a maximum power of 7w. Other downlight models will not authorise you to do this, but it is a necessary step since insulation helps your home expel heat quickly. This will assist in lowering the warmth trapped in your space and reducing your electrical bill!
When it comes to recessed lights, don't cover them with anything until you are 100% sure that it's okay. To confirm, look for a statement in the product description or packaging that it's insulation coverable or consult your supplier or manufacturer!
Fast and Effortless to Install - Twist & Lock Mechanism
This LED downlight is fast and effortless to install because it’s designed with components that streamline the process. It has screwless quick connectors for easy looping in/out to other fittings and a twist-and-lock mechanism, allowing speedy bulb swaps!
Also, this downlight is mains-powered, so you don’t have to purchase an independent driver or transformer to make it work. All you have to do is wire the downlight directly to the mains circuit, add a GU10 LED bulb you prefer, and it’s good to go! Just remember always to prioritise your safety and contact an electrician if you’re not confident doing the installation alone. Although you’ll spend money, at least you’ll be certain that your lights are installed correctly!
Works with a GU10 Bulb
You can use any GU10 bulb with this LED downlight since it’s constructed with a GU10 lamp holder. However, since it’s a dimmable fixture, using a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch will allow you to take advantage of its dimming function!
The GU10 bulb is available in three colour temperatures: cool white, natural white, and warm white light. Cool white and natural white are both suitable for task lighting because their brightness creates a functional and efficient environment. The only difference between the two LED colours is that cool white has a crisp bluish tone, while natural white has no shade of blue or yellow. Alternatively, warm white light is suitable for ambient lighting because its yellowish tint can create a cosy and welcoming environment!
Fire Rated to 30, 60 and 90 Minutes; Suitable for Solid, Web, and I-Joist Ceilings
This LED downlight is fire-rated to 30, 60 and 90 minutes of protection for solid joist ceilings and suits web and I-joist ceilings for 30 minutes of protection. Why do you need a fire-rated downlight?
Cutting a hole into the ceiling to mount recessed fixtures weakens its natural fire barrier. If a fire happens, it can easily slip through the gaps and quickly travel into the ceiling and walls. Only a fire-rated downlight can prevent this from happening because it is designed with an intumescent pad that activates to a specific temperature. When triggered, the pad blocks all the small gaps surrounding the downlight, hindering the fire from slipping through!
Open Can Design & Chic Matt Black Bezel
This LED downlight has a slimline profile with a matt black finish that goes well with many design schemes, like contemporary, industrial, traditional, minimalist, mid-century modern, and more! Even if it is not included in your initial layout, this fitting can blend in seamlessly as if it's been intentionally added from the start! So, if you're aiming to have more freedom in trying various aesthetics, consider using a neutral lighting fixture like this LED downlight!
Furthermore, this fitting has an open-can design, which makes it more practical and beneficial. Its improved cooling system will ensure that the GU10 LED bulb you use with it lasts throughout its extended average lifespan!
