Fire-Rated to 90 Minutes and Suitable for Solid and I-Joist Ceilings

This LED downlight is fire-rated to 90 minutes of protection for solid joist ceilings and ideal for solid and I-joist ceilings. This means the hole you trim to mount your lights is completely resealed, and your ceiling is reinforced to delay the time when the fire will spread.

Only a fire-rated downlight can restore the ceiling's fire integrity because it’s constructed with a built-in intumescent pad that expands when exposed to a specific temperature. This pad then blocks all the small gaps around the downlight, preventing the fire from slipping through and spreading throughout your home. If you want to guarantee the fire protection of your home, this LED downlight can help you ensure that!

Works with a GU10 bulb

This LED downlight is made with a GU10 lamp holder, so it is suitable with any GU10 LED bulb. However, since it’s dimmable, using a dimmable GU10 bulb with a compatible dimmer switch will enable you to access its dimming function!

As for the GU10 lamp, it’s available in three colour temperatures: cool white, natural white, and warm white light! Warm white light is ideal for places where you rest, like the bedroom and living room, since it gives off a cosy ambience. On the other hand, if your space is task-heavy, you can use a cool white light or natural white light to get sufficient illumination and a clearer view!

IP65 Rating - Water-Resistant

Since the bathroom is filled with water and other liquid substances, a regular lighting fixture is not suitable. If you are planning to add the same fitting you’re using in your living room or bedroom, don’t unless it’s specifically mentioned that it’s ideal for the bathroom.

This LED downlight is IP65 rated, so you can safely mount it in your bathroom, including zone 1 (directly above the shower area)! Even if it comes into contact with water splashes, it would not short-circuit or malfunction. Remember, be very careful when purchasing lights for areas in your home that are constantly exposed to water because liquids and electrics do not mix well!

Quick and Easy to Mount

When it comes to installation, this fixed LED downlight will not give you a headache or take a massive chunk of your time because it's designed with a loop-in/out quick connector screwless terminal block! With this, rather than going back and forth to the mains circuit for each light, you can just daisy-chain one fitting to the next in a series before connecting to the mains.

In addition, since it's mains-powered, you don't need a transformer or driver to make it work. This lessens the workload and speeds up the time it takes to complete the installation. The entire mounting procedure is pretty straightforward, so you'll be thrilled with its simplicity!

Insulation Coverable

Many downlights are insulation-coverable. However, it's not safe to assume that every model is the same. Unless you see in the product description or packaging that it's okay to put insulation, don't cover your lights with anything. This LED downlight is insulation-coverable, so you can loosely place loft insulation over its rear. However, there's a precaution. You can only do so if you use it with a GU10 lamp that has a maximum power of 7w.

Most cheaper downlights are not insulation-coverable, but this is an important feature for your lights because it helps the heat exit your home quickly. We highly recommend our downlight as it can help decrease the heat in your home and lower your electric bills.
